Channel 4 News has appointed ITV News at Ten senior programme editor Laura Wilshaw as its new deputy editor.
Wilshaw had been in her role since 2019, after a stint working for Euronews NBC. She has previously been head of home news at ITV News, programme editor on Channel 5 News and senior foreign news editor for Sky News.
During Wilshaw’s ITV News at Ten tenure, the programme won RTS programme of the year twice in a row as well as a BAFTA earlier this month.
Channel 4 News editor Esme Wren said: “Laura brings a huge amount of experience in terms of programme production, talent development and commissioning.”
