The Observer's multi award-winning chief sports writer Paul Hayward is leaving the paper to join Telegraph Media Group.
When Hayward joins the Telegraph in the autumn it will be his third stint at the paper, which he left in 2005 to join the Daily Mail.
In 2008 he left the Mail to become chief sports writer at The Observer, the same position he will take on at the Telegraph.
Hayward won sports writer of the year in 2002 and 2003 at the British Press Awards, and was named best football writer at the Sky Sports Awards in 1997, 1999 and 2001 at the Sky Sports Awards.
