Former Grazia editor-at-large Claire Irvin has been appointed as the new editor of She magazine.
Irvin will replace Sian Rees, who after more than two years at the helm has “decided to move on to other projects,” the company said.
She will leave Grazia, where she has worked for 18 months, to take up her new role with the National Magazine Company monthly on 18 January.
Irvin has held a number of senior roles in the women’s magazine sector. Prior to joining Grazia she worked at InStyle, Company, Sugar, and was named as a BSME Editor of the Year while editing Elle Girl in 2004.
Her appointment follows an announcement yesterday that Jessica Burley, managing director of the NatMag, is to leave the business early next year to “pursue other opportunities.”
Arnaud de Puyfontaine, chief executive of NatMag, said: “We are delighted that Claire has accepted the position of editor of She magazine. Her experience and inherent understanding of the women’s magazine market is invaluable.”
