Long-standing secretary of the London Press Club Dr Mark Bryant, who will be stepping down at the end of April to pursue other interests, has been elected a director and honorary life member.
Dr Bryant joined as secretary in September 2000 and has served under three successive chairmen – Dr Dennis Griffiths, Professor Donald Trelford and Steve Oram.
Oram said: ‘Mark has done a terrific job for the club over the past seven years, including running the office, editing the club journal Press News and successfully organising many events such as the annual Journalism Awards lunch.”
