Top 50 environmental journalists – cast your vote now

By Dominic Ponsford1

In the February edition of Press Gazette magazine will be publishing a top-50 list of journalists who cover environmental matters.

We have already sent surveys out to around 100 specialist journalists working in this field, and phoned up a number of environment editors and correspondents to ask their opinions. But we would still like to hear from you. We particularly want to hear from journalists with specialist knowledge of the field.

Unlike other top 50 and top 100 lists you will see of various things in the media, these Press Gazette ones aren’t back-room stitch-ups but genuine surveys of who journalists themselves rate.

Journalists justly see it as a great feather in their caps to be named in a Press Gazette top-50 and we really appreciate your help in making them as fair as possible.

To vote, simply email your favourite environmental journalists to editor@pressgazette.co.uk. Please name between five and ten in order of preference,  giving brief reasons for number one.

Only votes from bona fide journalists will count. Points are allocated with 10 points for a number one choice, down to one point for a number 10.

Voting closes on 15 January.

All those who vote will be entered in a draw to win an iPod nano MP3 player and video camera.
