The Manic Street Preachers were the headline band for NME’s Awards Big Gig at the O2 Arena on 28 February, and Johnny Marr, the Klaxons and Kaiser Chiefs also played.
The 40 NME staff and freelances who covered the event didn’t get to live the image of swaggering around backstage with the bands and crawling into work the next day to file their copy. Live blogs and regularly updated video content were posted on NME.com throughout the night.
