The Telegraph has named Rugby World editor Sarah Mockford as its new women’s sports editor.
Telegraph head of sport Gary Payne said: “The baton is passed to Sarah by launch editor Anna [Kessel], who with her team has revolutionised our coverage, making TWS the gold standard for women’s sport journalism. Sarah is a great addition to the team and brings significant experience to this role to lead TWS’s next exciting chapter.”
The Telegraph’s monthly women’s sport supplement launched in 2019 with the hiring of several journalists and a wider commitment for more women’s sport coverage online.
