Most national newspapers lost web traffic month-on-month in October, according to ABC
The strongest year-on-year growth came from The Guardian, up 31 per cent, and The Express, up 53 per cent.
The Sun, which goes completely free at the end of this month, was one of the few national newspaper titles to grow readership online month on month.
Trinity Mirror’s regional newspapers websites are among the fastest growing titles in the monthly ABC table, with the Manchester Evening News and Liverpool Echo both now ahead of the Evening Standard in terms of daily web traffic.
Mail Online remains the UK’s most popular newspaper website with an average of 13.2m global unique browsers (different devices) visiting the site every day according to ABC.
