Liverpool Daily Post launches business mag and website

By Press Gazette

The Liverpool Daily Post has launched a new business magazine and website as part of a major overhaul of the title’s business coverage.

The 100-page, bimonthly glossy magazine will have a circulation of 20,000 across Liverpool and will be given away to the 500 ‘most influential’business leaders in the city.

The website, which will have news, market analysis and audio content, will have a section exclusive to those who sign up to a free-to-join LDP Business Club.

The newspaper will produce a weekly radio show on Liverpool station CityTalk every Sunday morning at 11am and will host a two-day business fair in the city in June.

The paper’s regular daily business section is being redesigned and is led by business editor Bill Gleeson whose team has been expanded to five journalists.

The launches were announced at a breakfast meeting this morning by Daily Post editor Mark Thomas.

He said: ‘The Liverpool Daily Post is renowned for the strength and authority of its business coverage.

“Under the LDP Business brand we are pushing that coverage to a wider audience than ever before.

“With the expansion of Liverpool’s economy, the business community is crying out for this kind of coverage, and we are uniquely positioned to deliver it.”
