By Press Gazette

Johnston Press has increased operating profit by cutting costs faster than its revenue is declining, according to an interim management statement released today.
Operating profit at the regional media group is said to be up 7.8 per cent for the 18 weeks to 2 November.
Digital revenue is said to be up 32 per cent, with overall revenue down 6.8 per cent year on year. Costs were said to be down by £32.4m (13.9 per cent) year on year.
Johnston Press will release fuller details of its performance when it releases its full-year results in the spring.
