Editor of Scottish weeklies found dead in her home

The editor Dumfries and Galloway Standard and the Galloway News has been found dead in her home.

Elizabeth Martin, 53, was found in her house at Auchenchairn in south west Scotland at the weekend. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

Her death comes less than a less than a month her husband Jack died following an illness in the summer.

She was formerly a reporter for then Dumfries-based Standard before becoming its deputy editor. She was then made editor of the Galloway News before taking up the dual role
