Photo agency Rex Features has begun redundancy consultations with a number of staff based in its London office.
The company, which employs 78 staff in the UK, has provided news and features photography to the press for more than 55 years.
Editorial director Mike Selby told Press Gazette that there were no confirmed redundancies at this time.
“We are in a consultation period with a small number of employees but nobody has yet been made redundant,” he said.
Further details are expected in the coming weeks.
Rex claims a digitised image archive of more than 4.5 million images and a further 15 million photos in its physical archive. It has offices in New York, London and Los Angeles.
