A number of senior Independent journalists are included on the 50-strong new editorial team of i as it transfers over to Johnston Press ownership.
The Independent closed after 30 years on Saturday with around 100 out of 160 journalists losing their jobs. The remainder are believed to have either moved to The Independent website (which has a total staff of 75) or the i.
The size of the new editorial team is three times the size it was under the ownership of Evgeny Lebedev, when the dedicated editorial headcount was 17. The i did, however, share resources with The Independent.
Oliver Duff continues as editor off i, as does deputy editor Andy Webster.
Fran Yeoman is assistant editor (news), Hanna Tavner is assistant editor (iWeekend) and Siobhan Norton is assistant editor (production).
Independent and i features editor Rebecca Armstrong continues in the same role at i as does picture editor Sophie Batterby.
The business editor is a new hire, Elizabeth Anderson who joins from the Daily Telegraph where she was a business reporter.

The first edition of I under Johnston Press ownership will appear on 11 April after the £24m purchase of the title. The title is also soon launching in Northern Ireland.
