Telegraph Media Group has appointed City editor Richard Fletcher as its new website editor following the departure of Marcus Warren.
Last month the company announced a spate of redundancies that included the departure of Warren and head of visuals Guy Ruddle, while the production desk is understood to have borne the brunt of the cuts.
Following Fletcher's departure Tim Woodward, the former executive editor (news), has been promoted to City editor for The Daily Telegraph and the website, working alongside head of business Damian Reece and Kamal Ahmed, business editor of The Sunday Telegraph.
Editor Tony Gallagher: 'I am delighted to promote both Richard and Tim to these positions. They have both made outstanding contributions to the Telegraph, and I know they will bring huge commitment, expertise and enthusiasm to their new roles.'
Reece added: 'Everyone in Telegraph Business wishes Richard the very best of luck after five brilliant years with us.
'We're delighted to welcome Tim Woodward who is joining a Department which is shortlisted three times in this year's Newspaper of the Year Awards across both the Daily and Sunday Telegraph newspapers."
Last month TMG hired Sky News' former executive producer of new media James Weeks as head of video and promoted Edward Roussel to executive editor (digital).
Conrad Quilty-Harper was made interactive news editor, Mark Hughes was appointed New York correspondent and Martin Evans was named as the new crime correspondent.
