The Press Complaints Commission has resolved two complaints made by Robbie Williams against the Daily Star and the Metro.
The singer complained that the papers printed articles about the purchase of his new home, which identified its location in a manner that intruded his privacy.
The commission said that Williams’ complaints had now been resolved, as both publications removed the story from their websites.
The case echoes complaints made last month by the James Bond actor Daniel Craig, who said pictures of his London apartment that featured in the Mail on Sunday jeopardised his privacy and were a threat to his security.
The PCC resolved that dispute when the Mail on Sunday agreed to remove the story from its website, and to not reprint any of the information featured in the article.
