The News of the World has appointed Georgina Dickinson as its US editor.
Dickinson, who moved to Los Angeles as US reporter in 2005, previously worked as northern correspondent.
Her recent exclusives include a number of Lindsay Lohan scoops and kiss and tell stories on Robbie Williams and Bruce Willis.
