
Guardian News & Media has announced a series of new senior appointments covering its integrated print and online teams.
Damian Carrington has been made editor of the Guardian’s environment website, and has been appointed head of the environment pod – meaning he will be in charge of environmental coverage for The Guardian, Observer and guardian.co.uk.
Jon Casson has been appointed head of production across the Guardian, the Observer and guardian.co.uk.
Andy Beven is the new head of production for business and David Marsh will be production editor of the Guardian.
News editor of guardian.co.uk Steve Busfield has been made head of the media and technology pod, which will include MediaGuardian.co.uk, the MediaGuardian Monday supplement, the Guardian Technology print section and website and the Observer’s media coverage.
Jason Deans has been made editor of MediaGuardian.co.uk.
In sport, Martin Rose is the new head of sports production across Guardian News and Media and Adam Sills is head of sport planning.
Mike Adamson has been football features editor, Matthew Hancock sports features editor and Mark Redding sport news editor.
Ian Prior has been made Guardian sports editor, and James Dart is now deputy editor, guardian.co.uk sport.
In other moves Fiona Shields has been made picture editor of The Guardian and Lisa Foreman has been made picture editor for guardian.co.uk.
