The sports editor of the Daily Mail is leaving for The Times less than a year after taking up his post.
Alex Kay-Jelski, 31, a former Daily Mail graduate trainee, was named sports editor of the title in January this year, reporting to head of sport Lee Clayton.
Kay-Jelski, who joined the Mail in 2007, will take up the same position at The Times. He replaces Tim Hallissey who has moved to become The Times’s head of sport.
