Women’s weekly Now magazine has unveiled a redesign to celebrate its 15th anniversary.
The magazine also revealed it has signed up former News of the World showbiz editor Dan Wootton – winner of the 2010 British Press Awards showbiz reporter of the year – to work alongside columnists Keith Lemon, Joey Essex and Jeff Brazier.
As part of the redesign Now has launched several new sections including the “You & Improved” and “Bargainista” lifestyle sections, and new celebrity interview features such as the “Now Camera Phone” and “At Home With” .
Now editor Sally Eyden said: ‘The new look Now has even more gossip and glamour, giving our readers the exclusive stories they want and the celebrity fashion and trends they love in a magazine that is smart and funny. With even more fashion and more news, gossip just got glamorous.”
Now publishing director Sandy Gale added: ‘Now is the original celebrity news weekly and this new look builds on our heritage.
‘We listened to what avid readers in the celebrity category liked, disliked and wanted from their weekly read, combined this with Sally’s strong vision for the brand and believe we have created a magazine that will shake up the market.”
The latest average circulation figures from ABC show Now, which is owned by IPC Media, suffered a 8.5 per cent drop in circulation to 309,202 in the first half of 2011.
