Marie Claire deputy Charlotte Moore steps up to editor at InStyle

Deputy editor of Marie Claire Charlotte Moore has been named as the new editor of fashion and beauty monthly InStyle.

She replaces Suzanne Imre as editor of the IPC title, who is returning to her former role as editor of Livingetc.

Moore has over a decade of experience in journalism, having previously written for Elle, Time Out and the Independent on Sunday.

Moore said: “I am thrilled to be joining InStyle. With its unique combination of feel-good fashion and the coolest celebrities, it's always been a magazine I've loved reading. To have the opportunity to edit it now, feels like the best job in the world.”

InStyle publishing director Rita Lewis said: “Charlotte is steeped in the world of women’s glossies and has enjoyed tremendous success at Marie Claire. I am delighted to welcome her as the new editor of InStyle. I would also like to thank Suzanne for being an excellent custodian of the brand in the last few months.”

InStyle had circulation of 147,219 in the first six months of this year, down from 163,432 in the same period a year ago.
