Centaur Media will next week launch a new paywall-protected online publication as a spin-off from Marketing Week to provide news, commentary, analysis and information to a readership of marketers.
The site aims to be a source of business intelligence by allowing its readers to comment and rate the work of the agencies listed in its directory.
Subscribing agencies will be able to upload video content, stills, audio, and showreels of their work.
Centaur aim is for user-generated content to help better inform subscribers about the marketing communications world.
Pitch will initially launch with listings of the 100 leading strategic creative agencies.
It aims, by the end of the year, to also include digital, integrated and media agencies with PR and research agencies following next year.
The site will also rely on information provided by Marketing Week’s annual Agency Reputation Survey to enhance the user-generated offering.
The site will be accessible to subscribers of Marketing Week but will charge an annual fee to others wishing to gain access.
Declan Gough, publisher of Design Week will act as the publisher of the new site. Former Marketing Week deputy editor, Sonoo Singh, will be editor.
Singh said: ‘We believe that marketers will include Pitch into their workflow, using it not only as a resource to find latest work, but also participate in debates and discussions around the ideas and strategies that build brands.”
