Bauer launches new women’s lifestyle mag Landscape

Bauer Media has announced the expansion of its women’s lifestyle portfolio with the launch of Landscape magazine.

Bauer said the bi-monthly mag (six times a year) will create a new ‘seasonal category’with content that ‘takes inspiration from UK’s growing seasons”.

The launch is being supported by a media partnership with The Times newspaper, with 32-page sampler of Landscape magazine being distributed in the paper on Saturday 14 April.

Editorial will be focused on ‘the joy of the garden, simple seasonal kitchen food, traditional British crafts and the wonder of nature and the countryside”, and the magazine describes itself as a ‘haven from the pressures of modern living”.

The new title, edited Sheena Harvey, will be aimed at women aged 35 and over. The 164 page magazine will have a print circulation of 170,000 and a cover price of £3.90. A website – www.landscapemagazine.co.uk – is also being launched.

The title will be available nationally in all magazine retailers including Waitrose and Marks & Spencer, and the launch is also being supported by a partnership with English Heritage.

Harvey said: ‘This is an exciting moment for us because LandScape is a truly unique offering. It is a beautifully produced magazine you can lose yourself in – a calm and relaxing read and an escape from the pressures and stresses of everyday life.

‘It also represents a unique opportunity for advertisers to reach a passionate and discerning group of consumers.”

LandScape magazine is published by Bauer Specialist Media, based in Peterborough, and its managing director is Sam Fitz-Gibbon.
