BBC London and BBC Breakfast presenter Matt Barbet is to move to Five News.
Barbet will be a news correspondent and will also have a presenting role on Five’s weekday shows and weekend news round-ups.
He started his broadcasting career with ITN in 1999 and spent two years working for Independent Radio News.
In June 2001, he moved to the BBC started out as a reporter on BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat and then as a newsreader on Radio 1’s Breakfast Show alongside DJ Sara Cox. He joined BBC London News in 2003.
