Telegraph launches new paid-for iPad app

Telegraph Media Group has unveiled a new Telegraph App for the iPad which costs 19p more than the print edition.

The new iPad edition of The Telegraph will include content from The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph and is available via the App Store on iPad or from iTunes.

Individual daily editions costing £1.19, an auto-renewable monthly subscription costs £9.99. The Telegraph’s 335,000 print subscribers will have free access.

Digital editor Edward Roussel said in a press release: ‘Following extensive research we know that our iPad readers want their Telegraph articles enriched with digital content plus a celebration of what makes the Telegraph distinctive, such as Matt and Alex cartoons, crosswords and our top columnists. We are delighted to be able to offer the new iPad edition of The Telegraph via the App Store.”
