Express Newspapers owner Richard Desmond is set to take over terrestrial TV station Five ‘within days’ according to the Sunday Times.
Desmond, who also owns a series of magazine titles including OK!, is set to pay £100m for the RTL-owned channel, the paper reports (password protected).
Desmond said last month in an interview that he had £1bn to spend on acquisitions.
