A BBC journalist who went undercover as a veterinary nurse for nine months for a BBC 1 Panorama investigation being aired tonight. In a piece she has written for the Daily Mail she accuses Medivet of "malpractice, dishonesty and delegating critical medical tasks to unqualified nurses such as myself".
It looks like the sort of rigorous investigative journalism that perhaps only the BBC can nowadays afford. One can't help thinking though that perhaps the journalist – who has no veterinary qualifications – should have "made her excuses and left" before attempting to insert a catheter into an unfortunate Irish Setter called Yogi.
