New online magazine launched for single parents

By Press Gazette

A freelance journalist has launched a new online magazine aimed at single mothers.

Launching next month, Parenting Solo will include news and features for male and female single parents, offering expert legal and financial advice alongside celebrity interviews, travel features aimed at single people, and debates.

As well as the main site, Parenting Solo will run a Facebook page and Twitter feed.

The magazine is the brainchild of editor Kelly Rose Bradford, whose work has featured in the Daily Mail and the Daily Express, and who has appeared on This Morning, Daybreak and Radio 5 Live.

She said of the magazine: “There are two million single parents in the UK today, making up some 26 per cent of households with dependent children. As a journalist, I wanted to provide content that was just for them, simply because as a single mum I know first-hand how seldom we feature in mainstream publications, and how lots of articles on travel, financial advice, careers and even general 'lifestyle' topics just aren't relevant to us and our circumstances.

“All Parenting Solo content will be for and about lone parents, providing an entertaining and informative read that is updated daily.”
