
A new report on the future of policing by former Met chief Lord Stevens is going to recommend today more openness with the media.
Journalists have complained of a chill in relations with the police since the Leveson Inquiry and report.
Last year the Met adopted the recommendations of the Filkin report which suggested that limit contact with the media and particularly warned them against accepting drinks from journalists.
