How Deedes went back on the road with a 27-year-old reporter in tow

The Daily Telegraph today concludes its serialisation of a biography of Bill Deedes, the legendary journalist, editor and sometime Cabinet minister who died last year.

The book, by Stephen Robinson, tells how Deedes developed an unlikely writing partnership in in 1994 with 27-year-old reporter Victoria Combe – 53 years his junior.

Robinson will be online tommorrow to discuss the book from 12 noon at telegraph.co.uk/deedes.
