Has your journalism made a difference over the last year? If it has, time is running out to get your entry in for the inaugural British Journalism Awards.
These are the first national UK journalism awards open to all journalists wherever they work specifically aimed at recognising journalism in the public interest.
So whether you work in TV, radio, online, national or regional press, magazines or business publishing – these awards are for you.
They are free to enter and to attend, and the entry procedure could not be simpler. Just email up to three examples of your work along with a brief (optional) supporting statement.
If there is a colleague or any other journalist whose work you admire, feel free to make a nomination on their behalf. There is no limit to the number of entries an individual journalist can make.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: 9AM, 15 OCTOBER.
Here are the categories:
Investigation of the year (open to individuals and teams)
Breaking news award (for the best story of the year)
