Facebook and Google ‘held Twitter takeover talks’

By admin

Executives at Facebook and Google are reported to have held ‘low level’talks with Twitter about a potential takeover of the social media business.

Discussions with potential suitors have resulted in a valuation of Twitter of $8bn to $10bn (£6.2bn – £5bn), the Wall Street Journal reported.

The talks took place some months ago and have so far gone no way toward a sale of the messaging service, a source with knowledge of the discussions told the WSJ.
