Up to 90 printing jobs are under threat at Northcliffe’s printing press in Stoke when its daily title The Sentinel is published.
In a story on Northcliffe’s thisisstaffordshire website, management said the future of Harmsworth Printing (Stoke), a sister company of Northcliffe, was under review due to the “reducing requirements for printed copies of The Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday and the DMGT Group's regional titles”.
A 30-day consultation with staff will begin in November.
Harmsworth Printing Ltd's managing director John Bird said: "Harmsworth Printing Ltd continues to be under great pressure as a result of the reducing requirements for printed copies of The Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday and the DMGT Group's regional titles.
"Unfortunately, this has necessitated a further review of our operations and, in particular, of our press utilisation."
The Sentinel's editorial and advertising departments are not affected by this consultation process.
