Up to 27 Press Association jobs reported to be at risk as part of TV listings restructure

By William Turvill

Press Association is reportedly set to make up to 27 redundancies as part of a restructure of its TV listings business based in Howden, East Yorkshire (Picture: Google).

The news agency has declined to confirm numbers, but has said the restructuring proposal was announced on Thursday last week.

According to Holdthefrontpage, 27 members of staff at its office in Howden, East Yorkshire, are understood to be at risk of losing their jobs.

The website also said that the reorganisation could see part of PA's office space in Howden sold off.

In October last year, two PA staff who worked in TV listings won payouts after their jobs were transferred to a company in France.

A PA spokesman said: "On 15 January the Company announced a restructuring proposal in our TV Listings business.

"We will shortly be entering into consultations with our staff to discuss these plans before any final decisions are made.

"We have no further comments to make at this stage."
