In Journalism Weekly: GMG results are latest sign that five-year media downturn is finally ending

Five years after media share prices first went into meltdown, the long awaited 'green shoots' of recovery are finally in sight.

So says Guardian Media Group chief executive Andrew Miller in an exclusive interview as his national newspapers division celebrates its lowest losses since 2008. Elsewhere, indications from Emap, Telegraph Media Group and Mail Online suggest the business prospects for UK journalism companies are finally looking up.
