Correction: The Sun has not scrapped Page Three

By Dominic Ponsford

On Tuesday Press Gazette followed up a story in The Times about The Sun dropping its Page Three topless photos.

While the story itself attributed the news to The Times, the headline was too emphatic stating: "After 44 years The Sun stops publishing topless models on page three".

The headline also should have included some attribution. A better way to have handled the story would have been to say: "Report: After 44 years The Sun stops publishing topless models on page three".

Apologies. Today, after a break of just five days, a topless photo appeared on page three of The Sun.
