Caroline Daniel has been promoted to be editor of the Saturday edition of the Financial Times – FT Weekend – in addition to her current role as assistant editor.
Daniel, who joined the FT in 1999, has been comment and analysis editor, comment editor and White House correspondent. She has also been the FT’s correspondent in Chicago and IT correspondent.
Before joining the FT she was a features writer and reporter at the New Statesman, a reporter at the Economist,and a political researcher for Gordon Brown when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Former FT Weekend editor Andy Davis is currently “exploring new opportunities at the FT”, a statement said.
