The Associated Press has severed links with a freelance photographer who used digital manipulation to remove a colleague's video camera from a war photo he took in Syria last year.
AP said it has since reviewed all of the nearly 500 photos Contreras has filed for the agency since 2012 and said it found no other instances of alteration were uncovered.
Photographer Narciso Contreras took the picture in October last year as he observed rebel fighter exchanging fire with Syrian government forces.
