Nigella legal bid to block marriage break-up claim

By Darren Boyle

TV chef Nigella Lawson has threatened a PR figure with legal action after he published supposed details of her marriage break-up on the internet.

The defendant cannot be named for legal reasons while the media have been put on notice by Lawson’s legal team not to repeat the allegations.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the PR man published “a series of claims about problems within the marriage” claiming they were “the real reason” behind the split.

Lawson citied the “unreasonable behaviour” of her former husband Charles Saatchi when filing for her divorce.

The couple divorced in July after a one-minute hearing.

Lawson is currently in the United States filming her new cookery show.

Saatchi told the Telegraph when approached outside his London home: “I’ve got nothing to say. There is nothing to say, I really don’t know what you are talking about. Really, I have no idea what you are talking about.”
