Daily Mirror follows Mail with page two corrections column

The Daily Mirror today followed the lead of the Daily Mail and moved its For The Record corrections and clarifications column to a regular slot on page two.

Mirror editor Richard Wallace, speaking at the Society of Editors Conference this morning, said he was also “coming around to the view” that an independent press ombudsman should be created to supplement the work of the PCC. This was the view put forward by the Daily Mail editor Paul Dacre at the Leveson Inquiry seminar in October and which was last week also supported by Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger last week.
