
Glamour retained its position at the top of the women’s monthly market despite year on year decline but the significant growth was all in the maturer end of the market.
The Conde Nast young women’s monthly had a circulation figure of 550,066 in the second half of 2007, down 6.5 per cent year-on-year. Figures for rivals like Natmags’s Cosmopolitian and IPC’s Marie Claire remained relatively flat year on year.
Mature women’s monthlies showed the biggest yearly growth as Psychologies, Woman & Home, Essentials and She all put on sales.
