What children (and parents) asked for

A Disney-themed educational magazine aimed at for pre-school children has been launched.

The monthly title, My Disney Favourites , is designed for parents and children to read together. It features a different Disney character in each issue, in line with current DVD releases.

Published by Egmont Magazines, it will have an initial print run of 50,000 and be priced £2.50. The first issue comes out this month.

It is intended to stimulate early learning in an entertaining way.

The editor of the magazine is Jeanette Ryall, group editor on Egmont’s Disney Portfolio.

Debbie Cook, publisher of Egmont said: “My Disney Favourites has been developed following research and focus groups with parents and children to assess exactly what they wanted from a publication.

“It is fun, educational, entertaining and something that parents and children can enjoy together.”
