Times’ Andrew Ellson is journalist of the year at Headlinemoney awards

Andrew Ellson, The Times’ personal finance editor, was named Headlinemoney Journalist of the Year at last night’s annual awards dinner.

The peer-nominated awards honour  “editorial excellence in the field of money journalism”.

Other winners included The Mail on Sunday’s Jeff Prestridge who won consumer money journalist of the year. The Daily Telegraph’s personal finance section was named best consumer money title and Money Marketing was named best title in the B2B category.

Headlinemoney’s Outstanding Achievement award for 2011 went to Lorna Bourke, a former personal finance editor at The Times, Daily Telegraph and The Independent.
