Time Out Beirut launches

By Press Gazette

Time Out Beirut and Time Out Almaty have launched, bringing Time Out’s global network of magazines to a total of 17 cities.

Time
Out Beirut ‘s editor-in-chief will be Ramsay Short, who has been
covering the cultural scene in Lebanon for the last five years where he
has been the arts and cultural editor of English language daily, the
Daily Star. He is also the Lebanon correspondent for the Daily
Telegraph.

Short said: “It has been a long time coming but
if any city needs a Time Out it’s Beirut. I am honoured to be the one
charged with uncovering the city’s beating heart and giving voice to
the many artists in all fields who populate the most happening capital
in the Middle East.”

Time Out Almaty, which will be
edited by Madi Mambetov, will be published under licence by Media Link,
which currently publishes Cosmopolitan in Kazakhstan as well as a number of
local consumer magazines.
