ITV has announced ITV News UK editor Paul Brand as presenter of its flagship current affairs programme Tonight.
Brand replaces Julie Etchingham, who stepped down from the role at the beginning of 2022 to focus on the News at Ten and ITV documentary projects.
Brand, who achieved some agenda-setting scoops during the Partygate saga, said: “To present a show previously fronted by two titans of broadcasting – Julie Etchingham and Sir Trevor McDonald – is a huge honour.”
ITV said Brand “will also be taking on other presenting opportunities at ITV, to be announced in due course”. He will also continue in the UK editor role.
