Guillaume Dubois has been appointed as the new chief executive officer of European news outlet Euronews, taking over from interim CEO Bénédicte Bachs-Scherrer.
Before joining Euronews, Dubois was the director of broadcasting for the French 24-hour news channel LCI, as well as previously chairman and chief executive of L’Express Group.
Bachs-Scherrer will continue as the group’s chief financial officer.
The appointment comes as the outlet’s majority shareholder MGN is set to sell its shares to investment management firm Alpac Capital, as announced in December.
