The Web is not a good source

By Press Gazette

No, Guy Clapperton, I don’t expect PRs to go and get all the facts
for me; I expect them to find someone for me to interview (Letters, 15
July).

Remember that old-fashioned skill journalists are meant to
have: talking to people to get the true facts and the real story? I
certainly don’t consider the internet to be a “good information
source”, since anyone can put anything on the web, without any facts to
support it – and with more “spin” than even a PR is likely to add.
