The Sunday Times has hiked its cover price by 10 per cent to £2.20, making it the most expensive UK national newspaper at the quality end of the market.
It is the first increase at the paper for four years, when it first rose to £2.
The price rise won’t help sales which, like other national newspaper titles, have been under particular pressure. In August, sales of the Sunday Times dropped 8.5 per cent year on year to 1,066,240 a week.
