
The world’s oldest columnist, Rose Hacker, has died at the age of 101.
Hacker had written a fortnightly column for the independent local newspaper the Camden New Journal since September 2006. Editor
Eric Gordon had asked her to write the column after hearing her make a speech about nuclear disarmament at a commemoration of the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 inTavistock Square.
