Local World has announced two editorial appointments in its Hertfordshire and Essex business.
Hertfordshire Mercury editor Julie Palmer (right, above) has been appointed to the new position of senior editor. She will continue to edit the Mercury, but will also now be responsible for co-ordinating other editorial teams in the area.
She will be reported to by new group features editor Sue Webb (left, above), who was editor of the Advertiser series for the past six years.
Palmer said she was pleased “to be taking on this role at an exciting time for the Herts and Essex portfolio. I believe with the support we now receive from Local World South East we are in one of the best positions we have ever been to take on the new challenges in the industry.”
Webb said: “I am excited to be taking up this new role and am relishing the challenge. The new property and leisure supplements will add even more value to what are already great products – and I am looking forward to bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the table to boost our commercial opportunities.”
Both take up their new roles with immediate effect.
