The Liverpool Post has launched a daily tablet and smart phone app for business news.
The Liverpool Post Business Daily, which is available from today, will feature 30 pages of business news, data and analysis from the Liverpool city region.
It is the second business app launched by Trinity Mirror’s regional titles in the space of a fortnight following the Birmingham Post Business Daily, which hit digital newsstands last week.
Features include a leads anddeals section with tender opportunities, planning applications, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency alerts, executive jobs and news of key appointments and moves in the business community.
The app will also include the Liverpool Post 50, a share performance tool that will act as “a daily barometer of the health of the local economy”.
Liverpool Post editor Mark Thomas said: This new digital publication is a very exciting step for us, keeping our brand at the cutting edge of the news industry in our third century of publication.
“We have expanded our award winning business team to deliver a richness and depth of business coverage that I think will be unrivalled in any regional city. The format allows us to deliver multi-media packages, with video, audio, picture galleries and archive material to enhance our stories.
“Our aim is to create a tool for business people that will be so valuable that it will be an essential part of their working day. I’ve been sharing dummy versions with some key business contacts, who have provided valuable feedback in terms of creating their ideal daily briefing
The tablet edition is priced at £9.99 a month on Apple and Android devices. There is also a corporate model which will offer a sliding scale of price depending on number of users and length of subscription.
